"The impersonal hand of government can never replace the helping hand of a neighbor."
~~Hubert H. Humphrey in a February 10, 1965, address in Washington, D.C. L to R: Craig Lauger, Lauger Construction; Robby Burdge, Capital Campaign Committee Chair; Margaret Carver, Board of Directors President; Will Armstrong, Mayor of Victoria; Randy Vivian, Chamber President and past CEO of Mid-Coast Family Services; Daniel Barrientos, Chief Operations Officer; Ginny Stafford, Chief Executive Officer
Under Construction!
This wonderful new facility will provide a place of refuge, comfort, and healing for hundreds of victims of domestic violence within its first year of operation. Your club, organization, or business can be a major part of that healing and rebuilding process by sponsoring the furnishings of a sleeping room, counseling room, office, or playroom. Or maybe you'd like to provide native Texas plants and trees for our landscaping. We also hope to add playground equipment for both toddlers/preschoolers and older children to our backyard in the near future. If you would like to be a partner with us in providing these healing resources, call Jo Janssen or Ginny Stafford at 361-575-7842 and ask for details. We'd love to honor you on a plaque in our new shelter!! |
