DWI & The LawArticle 42.12, Section 13(j), Code of Criminal Procedure, requires persons convicted of subsequent DWI offenses and placed on community supervision to attend a program approved by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Failure to complete the program will result in the offender's license being suspended until the program has been completed.

DWI Intervention ProgramThe DWI Intervention Program is designed for individuals who have been convicted of driving while under the influence of alcohol for a second or subsequent offense. The DWI Intervention Program teaches participants how to:
The goal of the programs is that participants who complete the program will be free of further DWI arrests. The 15-week program consists of weekly two- to three-hour sessions and two individual sessions, and make-up sessions are required for any missed meetings. This progam is offered for a fee.
